-

A. Campbell, who became somewhat of local legend in Jamaica. He won a whopping $158.4 million Jamaican dollars (roughly equivalent to £910,000) in the Jamaican Super Lotto. Interestingly, it took him a full 54 days to claim his prize, which fueled speculation about his reasons for the delay.

When he finally did come forward to collect his winnings, A. Campbell made sure to keep his identity a secret. He donned the iconic white mask from the Scream movie franchise, along with a long coat, pants, and gloves for complete anonymity. Photos of him holding the giant check while sporting the mask went viral, sparking amusement and curiosity around the world.

According to reports, A. Campbell wasn’t exactly celebrating after his win. He admitted to feeling overwhelmed and even getting sick from overthinking what to do with the life-changing amount of money. His decision to wear the mask likely stemmed from a desire to avoid unwanted attention and requests for handouts from friends and family.
