El Penon de Guatape is a huge rock located in the municipality of Guatape, Columbia.
The rock is comprised of granite monolith that rises 200 meters above the ground. It is surrounded by an artificial lake called the Guatape reservoir.
The El Penon rock is a very popular tourist attraction and tourists are impressed by the 700 steps to climb to the top of the rock.
